Josh Brown Super Bowl Diary 1-31-06

Today was a day I will never forget as long as I live. Have you ever seen cattle running in a pasture? Today was media day and when I saw them coming, I got this image of a huge hurd of cattle running across the pasture. crazy I know but it seriously looked that way. Thousands came pooring out when we got into the stadium. A mad dash to ask the first question.
Now being the kicker you wouldn’t expect a whole lot of attention during this time. It is usually the big money players or just certain positions but today was not the case, not for me or TomRouen our punter. They came quick and hard, right to the point. “Do you dream of kicking the game winner?” I must have answered that question 25 times. Then some guy asked me the dumbest question ever.” If you could be any bird in the world, what would it be?” and of course I was supposed to answer, ” a Seahawk” but I said an Eagle cause there the biggest. So, that was my bone head answer of the day. I also got the opportunity to be on the Jay Leno show (friday night) doing some stupid seahawks cheer. It was korny but I wanted to be on the show I did. That was my moment of weakness. it happens.

So, you can see this was a full day for us and that was just two hours of it. The rest of the day was spent at the local Cabelas hunting store buying items we will rarely use but that were cool at the time.

Today was good for other reasons too. The LA Times did a story on me and my little home town of Foyil, OK. They included people from my church my high school football coach and my mother and one of the nations Historical attractions, the worlds largest totem pole. I kid you not, 90 feet. Doing these little stories and seeing the responses in my emails or getting phone calls from people back home makes me swell up with pride to be from such a small town. They are getting the recognition they deserve for being such good fans and supporters of mine. COULDN'’T MAKE IT WITHOUT YOU FOYIL….

Well, until tomorrow after our first big practice of the week, take care

JB

Sarge!!! Where have you been? Josh, you are pulling them out of the woodwork now partner. We got the Watch Party in the gym on go, we will open at 4:30 and cheer you Seahawks on to victory. Looking forward to seeing the two taps to the helmet, maybe I’ll get our crowd to do the ‘wave’ back. Don’t forget, 61 yards in 96 will still equal 61 yards in 06. Good Luck.
