diary 2-1-06

Finally Wednesday, the start to a normal week. We started practicing today, that will make the week go a little faster hopefully.
All was good and smooth here, meetings, Films and working out. Doing things that will set the tempo for this game. We started game planning and really practicing hard last week, now we can polish up and get the really going for the game. I am getting so exciting during practice now, sometimes I find myself short of breath, just over excited I guess but I am normally a little up tight during the week and calm during the game.
Tonight was fun, got to go and meet some of the Red Wings tonight and they beat St.Louis. I don’t know much about hockey but met some pretty exceptional players, Chelios and Brendon Shanahan. Both veterans and have won a few stanley cups. I tell you, this job is really given me some awsome opportunities to meet some great people in all kinds of fields. Now I am just trying to be a professional, you meet some of these people and you want to be a fan and get autographs. Pro’s don’t do that to each other I guess. I guess I am learning as I go still and it is exciting..well, not much more to write about today, with the week getting back to normal terms, the excitement might settle down quite a bit…Hope all is well

Am enjoying your diary! It was great to hear the excitment in voice yesterday. I can not even begin to know what it must feel like getting ready to play in the game of all games. Some player go there whole career and never make it to the show. Now you are there. I only wish I could have been there to share it with you and your family and lets not forget Rob. You know that my heart will be with you and my eyes glued to the tube. Best of luck to YOU and the rest of the Seahawks. I will see you soon.

    Best Regards,
    Fred

    JOSHIE!!!

I hope all is going well! If you read this before the ‘big game’ I would like to wish you all of the best!! If you read this after, then I’d like to congratulate you on one hell of a season! My favorite highlight so far would be the kicking you put on the Cowboys this year! As a bartender I participate in sports talk on a daily basis, and just going to school with you has given me many interesting stories to tell to my patrons! There’s quite a few people pulling for you and all of the Seahawks back here in Stillwater, and everyone is very proud of their Oklahoma kid! You know that I’ve never been the most sports minded person, but I’ve rooted for you every chance I’ve had! You’ve turned me back on to the NFL, and to your Seatle teammates, (from the start of the season, not just after such a wonderful record!), and for the first time I’ve finally got my own ‘team!’

    Wishing you all the best,
    JR

Go Josh! We’re all pulling for you here at the elementary school. Everyone is excited about the watch party in the gym.

  4. Mike McGregor Says:

I know you won’t get this before game, but good luck and remember: Balance, Concentration, Follow through. We are rooting for the Seahawks here- Big Super Fowl Party for you.
    Foyil is proud.

  5. Mike McGregor Says:

We have had lots of newspaper stories on you Josh. You know we are proud of you no matter what. GOOOOOOOOOO Seahawks!

  6. Mike McGregor Says:

Well things didn’t go exactly as we had wanted but we are all very proud of you. Foyil has really been getting a lot of press lately. Between you and the Seahawks and our lawsuit against the State Legislature for a lack of “adequacy & equity” in funding for public schools the newspapers have been full of “Foyil”.

You did well Josh and I hope to get to see you when you return. Best of Luck and God Bless.

    Josh:

This is your ole Tech Ed teacher from Foyil saying congratulations on great season. You were the best team last night during the super bowl. The seahawks team was robbed and the guys in stripes were going to make sure that Bettis won his ring so he could retire as a champion. I hope your are enjoying playing pro football and living in Washington. We have some friends who live in central Washington, we like the area and we enjoy visiting them as often as possible. We have not been in four years because it is an expensive trip. We have two kids now Cameron is 11 and Cathryn is 16 months. Best regards Mr. Lewis

  8. Patti Foyil Sr00 Says:

    Hey Josh,

Congratulations on an excellent season. In my opinion, You were robbed of a Super Bowl ring. You had a really great season.

I remember asking you for your autograph in Geometry class back in 98ish. I knew that you had a lot of potential, and great career ahead of you. I’m a Sooner, but I still rooted you on in Nebraska. You have done very well for yourself. I hope your proud of your accomplishments. Everyone here is proud of you. I don’t know if it’s true or not, but I’d like to think I had one of the first “Josh Brown” autographs. Take Care of yourself Josh. :)

  9. Ashley Says:
