Josh Brown Designated Franchise Player by the Seattle Seahawks

Josh Brown was designated a franchise player by the Seattle Seahawks. By franchising Josh, the Seahawks will pay him the average salary of the top five kickers in the league, $2,078,000, for the 2007 season. By designating Josh as their franchise player, the Seahawks confirm his importance to their team. Josh is one of the few elite players that have been designated as a franchise player at his position. Only two other kickers in the history of the NFL have been designated as franchise players: Adam Vinateri and Jason Elam.
