Marvin Clecidor

Defensive Backs Coach
Princeton University

The 2019 season will mark Marvin Clecidor’s 4th season as the defensive backs coach for Princeton. He previously coached at William & Mary for two seasons prior to joining the Princeton staff.

Clecidor jumpstarted his coaching career at Wilkes University working with the linebackers. After, he joined the staff at Wagner College where he coached the cornerbacks. Clecidor then had a graduate assistantship at Rutgers where he worked under head coach Greg Schiano, presently defensive coordinator for the New England Patriots. Following his tenure at Rutgers University, Clecidor took on the position of secondary coach and director of player development and personnel at Monmouth University for three seasons. Shortly thereafter, Clecidor joined the William & Mary staff as the defensive backs coach.

In his playing years, Clecidor was a two-time all-conference selection (2007, 2008) with Lafayette College and helped lead the team to back-to-back Patriot League championships in 2005 and 2006. A three-year starter as a defensive back, Clecidor finished his career with 114 tackles and four interceptions. He graduated from Lafayette with a bachelor’s degree in 2009 and earned an MBA from Wagner in 2012.

Clecidor grew up in Lakeland, Florida and currently resides in Central Jersey.
