New York Jets – LS

Thomas Hennessy is the current long snapper for the New York Jets. In 2019, RSR secured an extension for Thomas to keep him a Jet through 2023. Thomas signed a 4 year extension that included a $625,000 signing bonus and $1.27 million in guarantees.

Thomas began his NFL career with the Indianapolis Colts. Near the end of training camp in August 2017 Thomas was traded from the Indianapolis Colts to the New York Jets. It is extremely rare when a long snapper is traded, and it speaks to the value of Thomas as a player. Thomas thereafter assumed the starting position.

At the outset of the NFL Draft process, Thomas was ranked outside of the Top 10 players at the long snapper position. After partnering with Thomas and developing a plan, RSR was able to get Thomas a spot as the only long snapper on the team that included a deal the released all the other long snappers on the roster.

Thomas lettered four seasons at Duke, starting in all games after a red-shirt freshman year. Over those four seasons, Thomas was perfect on all his snaps that included 211 punt snaps, 119 field goal snaps, and 207 PAT snaps totaling 537 flawless career snaps. Other highlights include working as the most successful special team’s battery in the ACC along with punter Will Monday and kicker Ross Martin. He also accumulated 4 tackles over those 52 games.

RSR Sports Management looks forward to a continued partnership with Thomas as he continues snapping for the New York Jets.

"I partnered with Rob and RSR Sports Management this year as a rookie coming out of college. Working with Rob has been a very positive experience. He has offered not only great representation, but honest and sincere guidance throughout every step of the process and we've been in constant communication. His knowledge of the draft/free agency process and relationships with NFL coaches and management has been critical in helping me find the best opportunity, which is tough to come by as a specialist. I look forward to continue working with Rob!"
